Remote printing—PrintQ
PrintQ allows students and staff to easily print MS Office and PDF documents from any computer connected to the Internet to any Information Commons Multi-Function Device (MFD) on campus. Printing can be done in black and white or colour, and normal printing options are available. Students and staff can also scan from any Information Commons MFD to their ANU email account.
Using PrintQ
Once you have a document ready to be printed, login to the PrintQ website using your username and password and follow the prompts for sending your document to print.

Collecting your printing
Once a file has been sent to print via PrintQ, you have 2 hours to visit one of the Information Commons Multi-Function Devices and release your print job. Please ensure you have a copy of the file with you that you have sent to print.
Cost
PrintQ uses your allocated printing quota. The cost of printing per page is the same as printing from any Information Commons computer. This cost will be deducted from your quota when the print job is released from the Information Commons Multi-Function Device.
The following locations have Information Commons Multi-Function Devices:
- Chifley Library

Printing other document formats
In order to use PrintQ with formats other than MS Office or PDF, you must install the appropriate software to enable your computer to communicate with the Information Commons MFD. There are step-by-step instructions on the PrintQ website for setting up PrintQ on the most commonly used operating systems.
If you require further assistance, visit the AskANU Consultants in the Chifley and Hancock Libraries.
