Adding credit—Recharge
Recharge print system
From Semester 1, 2012, your allocated print quota will be linked to your ANU ID card, and under the new Recharge system, can be topped up online or via new, self-service Recharge kiosks across all Library locations.
Recharge will allow students and staff to validate any print, copy or scan transaction using their ANU ID card and charge it back to their account.
Recharge online
A new Recharge website—recharge.anu.edu.au—has been created for students and staff to remotely top up their print quota using a credit card online. In addition to topping up their quota, the new Recharge website will allow users to view how they have used their quota and to check or manage print quotas from anywhere, even abroad.
Recharge kiosks
New Recharge kiosks are located within the Information Commons of each Library allowing students and staff to top up their print quota using EFTPOS. Recharge kiosks will also allow users to refund credit or get a print quota balance.
The Recharge kiosk in Chifley Library is the only Recharge kiosk offering a cash service to add credit to print quota.
Link your ANU ID card to your print quota
To start using the new Recharge system, all ANU ID cards must be validated at a Recharge kiosk to link to your print quota. To validate, visit a kiosk in any Library location and follow the prompts on the touch screen.
Sensors on Printing Devices
Once an ID card is validated at a Recharge kiosk, users wanting to print, copy or scan using a Multi-Functional Device (MFD) will be able to swipe their ANU ID card over the sensor pad and proceed by following the prompts. Don't forget to log off at the MFD once your print transaction is complete.
