The University Library is undertaking a Collection Relocation Project to move
approximately 30% of the physical collection to the ANU Print Repository. The
purpose of the Project is to reduce the shelf occupancy rate across the Library
from 93% to approximately 75%, and to release 2,800 square metres of space for
re-use by the University. Such a reduction will allow for the natural growth of
the collection and provide additional space in Library buildings to support
flexible learning.
Library users will be able to access the relocated material by submitting an
online request for articles and book chapters (which will then be made available
online), or by requesting items be delivered to the Chifley Library, or by
visiting the Repository.

Material started being moved to the Repository on 6 August 2007. For more
information about the Collection Relocation Project or the ANU Print Repository
