Digital Lecture Delivery (Recording of Lectures)There are currently 46 teaching venues on campus where it is possible to digitally record your lectures, which you can then make available to your students through WebCT. 25 July, 2006 Three new venues have been added to the DLD system - Arndt Lecture Theatres 1 and 2, and Baume Lecture Theatre. 17 July, 2006 Podcasting is undergoing final testing. Expect an announcement soon. Using DLDThere are only two things you need to do to take advantage of the Digital Lecture Delivery (DLD) system. 1. You must remember to 'tell' the PC in the lecture theatre to START and STOP recording your lecture. This involves logging in to the PC (using your UniID and password), clicking on the DLD icon on the desktop, double-checking to make sure that your course code and your name are displayed, and then clicking START. Click on STOP when your lecture is over. 2. Give your students to access your lecture recordings through the WebCT site for your course. This is done using the Big Green Button feature on your WebCT pages. You only need to do this once for every course. To find the Big Green Button login to WebCT using your UniID and password. You will then see your "myWebCT". On this page there is a link to the ANU Designers' Resource Site. Click on this link, then scroll just a little to find the Big Green Button. Click on it, and you will receive step by step instructions on what to do to make your digital lecture recordings accessible to students. When the BIg Green Button has finished its work, click the new "Lecture Recordings (DLD) Admin" button on your WebCT course site Homepage and set your preferences to:
This page can also be used to upload files not automatically added by the DLD system, e.g. a guest lecture, a lecture given in a venue not equipped for DLD, or other related material. Detailed Documentation
