Information Services@ANU > Assistive technologies Assistive technologiesAs the name indicates, assistive technologies enable a variety of users to access information technology services. For example, ZoomText, JAWS and TextAloud provide assistance to users with a visual impairment or learning disability, while Dragon Naturally Speaking is aimed at users with a mobility impairment. Assistive technologies are installed on every computer in the Information Commons, and the Disability Support Unit provides training in the use of these technologies to all students who are registered with DSU. For more information on the range of assistive technologies available and about the DSU see http://www.anu.edu.au/disabilities/index.php. |
