Information Services@ANU > Software SoftwareIn the Information Commons To get a sense of the software currently available in the Information Commons visit http://infocommons.anu.edu.au:8080/cocoon/infocommons/List_Applications. Because new software is regularly installed this list may not always reflect the full range of applications available. Staff members who wish to request that a particular software application be installed on Information Commons computers should send an email to ic.software@anu.edu.au. You will be contacted and asked to provide further details. On your desktop computer Local IT Support Staff are responsible for maintaining the software on staff members’ (and postgraduate students’) office desktops. When you need specific software for preparing teaching or research materials, the first step is to contact your Local IT Support Staff. You can find out how to contact your Local IT Support Staff here: http://its.anu.edu.au/litss/contacts. Should your area or school require software to be purchased, the Division of Information Software Team provides a university-wide service including: software purchasing; software licensing; and software media loans. Often the Software Team is able to negotiate better prices for bulk purchasing and site licenses, so it is recommended that you arrange software purchasing and licensing through the Software Team. To contact the team send an email to software@anu.edu.au. |
