Information Services@ANU > Digital lecture delivery via WebCT Digital lecture delivery via WebCTThere are currently over 30 teaching venues on campus where it is possible to digitally record your lectures, which you can then make available to your students through WebCT. There are only two things you need to do to take advantage of the Digital Lecture Delivery (DLD) system. 1. You must remember to 'tell' the PC in the lecture theatre to START and STOP recording your lecture. This involves logging in to the PC (using your UniID and password), clicking on the DLD icon on the desktop, double-checking to make sure that your course code and your name are displayed, and then clicking START. Click on STOP when your lecture is over. 2. To enable your students to access your lecture recordings your need to use the Big Green Button feature on your WebCT pages. To find the Big Green Button log in to WebCT using your UniID and password. You will then see your homepage. On this page there is a link to the ANU Designers' Resource Site. Click on this link, then scroll down the page just a little. There you will see the Big Green Button. Click on it, and you will receive step by step instructions on what to do to make your digital lecture recordings accessible to students. You only need to do this once for every course. Also on the ANU Designers' Resource Site is an icon labeled Frequently Asked Questions. Questions 6.1 through 6.3 are devoted to DLD issues, and include a link to the complete list of lecture theatres with DLD capacity. |
