Photography Services

Archives staff will arrange for photographic work to be undertaken for researchers. Please complete a Request for photocopies, digital images and photographs form including payment details on the reverse and allow 10-14 working days for orders to be processed.

You may take your own digital photographs in the reading room, provided that this does not harm the records in any way or disturb other researchers.

The Archives will not allow photographic work to be done where damage may result to the original item, or where such work may contravene copyright law or agreements with depositors. It is the researcher's responsibility to obtain any copyright permissions required.

Charges

Both black and white and colour images are charged at the following rates which include GST:

There is an additional charge of $11.00 for each CD supplied.

There is also a commercial reproduction fee, where an image will be used in commercial publications and products, at $60.50 per image. Urgent requests (3-day turnaround) may be requested for an additional fee of $27.50 per image.

When orders are posted to clients, standard Australia Post charges apply, although an Express Post service is also available on request.

Payment may be made by cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard or by requesting a tax invoice. ANU internal journal transfers can also be arranged.

Access Agreement

Researchers are asked to take particular note of Clause 6 of the Access Agreement. By signing this agreement you have agreed not to pass to a third party any photocopies derived from the records, including placing such copies in a library or archives.
