LDAP configuration for Outlook 2003

- Begin by closing Outlook2003.

- Create a new notepad document called ldap.reg. Copy the boldface text below into the ldap.reg document:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\ldap]

"NoDisplayNameSearch"=dword:00000001

"DisableVLVBrowsing"=dword:00000001

- Run the registry file as the user. This will insert the values into the current user’s settings

- Open Outlook2003

- In the Tools menu, select E-mail Account

- Select: Add a new Directory or address book

- Select Internet Directory Service (LDAP)

- Enter the server name: ldap.anu.edu.au and click More Settings

Click the Search tab

Change the value for specify the maximum number….. from 100 to 999

Enter the search base as: o=anu.edu.au

Click OK

Click Finish
