Information Services@ANU > Computing@ANU > Local IT Support > Terms and Conditions for LITSS Training Terms and Conditions for LITSS TrainingTerms and Conditions apply to all ANU subsidies relating to courses, conferences and sessions. LITSS training vouchers The DOI, through the Information Literacy Program, has purchased training vouchers from KAZ so LITSS who need training in high end technical courses can access training in a timely manner and at a substantially reduced price. They are not to be used for application training. Another company, Dimension Data Learning Solutions (DDLS) offer a slightly different selection of high end Microsoft and other technical courses and we now have a discount arrangement with in place with them. ILP 50% subsidy applies to the advertised course cost. This arrangement provides increased flexibility in scheduling and selecting courses to suit the diverse needs of the LITSS community. Other courses will still be offered where possible throughout the year on topics or platforms not available at KAZ or DDLS. KAZ is currently offering courses at 'short notice' at a further discount. Attending these courses will cost your area 30% less than the advertised cost and ILP will still offer a 50% subsidy on the reduced price. LITSS.Coord@anu.edu.au will email details of these discounted courses to the litss mailin list as they come up. How to access the KAZ or DDLS subsidised courses:
You and your supervisor will be notified by email to confirm the registration. Billing will be by journal entry when the course takes place. LITSS are to identify the course required and select the delivery date/s, time and total cost advertised from the KAZ or DDLS websites. Please check you meet any prerequisites. NOTE: do NOT apply directly to KAZ or DDLS. All applications are to come through LITSS.Coord@anu.edu.au LITSS' budget area to pay half the advertised full course cost. The DOI reserves the right to restrict numbers from each area. Conditions regarding withdrawals from enrolled training courses sponsored by the DOI at KAZ/DDLS using the voucher system are as follows: Cancellation or rescheduling of registrations for a public course require FIVE working days written notification, to enable re-allocation of student places. If five working days notice is not received, full course fee will be charged to the participant's budget area. If the original attendee cannot attend within the 5 working days, areas are able to substitute another LITSS. However any other costs arising from these changed arrangements will be borne by the area. Note: Other providers such as Apple, have slightly different conditions which will be specified on enrolment LITSS are able to gain training in a number of ways:
