Information Services@ANU > Cost of incoming traffic Cost of incoming trafficSince 2005, traffic has only two components - On-Net and Commodity. The old categories of IntResearch, AARNet and mirror make up the On-Net, and will no longer be volume charged. Fixed charges, levied by AARNet, will be redistributed to business units according to their usage in these categories in 2004. The old categories of International and Domestic make up the Commodity traffic. The "Charged MBytes" column shows your Commodity traffic only, and incorporates your proportional share of the common "IIS-Production" traffic. The Dollar amount shown is the Commodity usage charge (obtained by multiplying the Charged Mbytes by 1.75 cents - ie $17.50 per GB in 2006). The Subscription fee is not shown on this table.
