Video Conferencing Deployment	To implement multiple video conferencing services for distributed ANU staff and students in environments internal and external to the ANU campus. Intrusion Detection & Prevention Hardware	To evaluate and analyse current Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) for deployment on the ANU ICN. Wireless Network Analysis	To conduct a thorough analysis of the current wireless network and evaluate requirements of the university community for a wireless network. Then to use this information in plannning and implementing the extension of the wireless network to meet the requirements of the university community. Core Services Upgrade	This project defines the conversion of the ICN core to a layer 3 or routed core, resulting in a significant improvement to the performance and stability of the ICN core. Networks and Communications project program provides a summary of the status and priorities of Networks and Communications projects.

An online calendar of important academic dates for the ANU is used to ensure the least amount of service disruption to operations while projects are run. This calendar is publicly available in HTML and ical formats.

Avaya API Implementation

The Avaya IP Telephones currently deployed throughout the ANU have many value add services, including Web and Push APIs. It is the intent of this project to investigate the current limits of these value add services and determine their applicability to the ANU Environment.
