The Division of Information is responsible for providing The Australian
National University with the information services and infrastructure required to
enable teaching, learning, and research.
Since the inception of the Division of Information on 1 February 2001, Prof.
Robin Stanton, Pro Vice Chancellor, has overseen the integration, coordination,
and ongoing development of the University’s information infrastructure and
support services.
From the establishment of a campus-wide desktop computing environment to the
development of one of the world’s leading integrated networks, the Division of
Information has acted swiftly to ensure that students, staff, and visitors to
the ANU benefit from an array of innovative information technologies.
The Division of Information is also dedicated to facilitating the development
of the skills and knowledge necessary for members of the ANU community to take
maximum advantage of twenty-first century educational and research technologies.
Whether through the creation of virtual tours of the Library Catalogue or
Smart Lecture Theatres, the Division endeavours to anticipate and provide the
services and support required by a vibrant research and teaching University.
