University Records

Unfiled records

People have different ways of organising and filing information and this can sometimes lead to loose paperwork being stored in various places around people's offices.

There will be both instances when a file exists for the paperwork or where no file can be found. When you have unfiled records or paperwork the first thing you should do is search the recordkeeping system to determine if a file exists.

Paperwork that belongs on an existing file

Once you have conduced a search of the system and determined that a file already exists for the paperwork, you can send it to University Records for filing.

To do this you will need to group like paperwork together, record the correct file number on the paperwork and send to University Records.

You can do this for both people and subject files.

Paperwork for student files should be sent to Student Records.
